Dr. Jason Franklin

Dr. Franklin is focusing on creating a visual map of the philanthropy ecosystem using an online, systems mapping tool, Kumu. The tool will include information on knowledge creators, intermediaries, donor networks, foundations and other online resources. Dr. Franklin serves as the W.K. Kellogg Community Philanthropy Chair at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy, the nation’s first endowed chair focused on community philanthropy. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Bolder Giving, inspiring people to give big & take more risks with their philanthropy, and as an award-winning adjunct professor at New York University. He serves on the boards of the Proteus Fund, Solidaire Donor Network, and WiserGiving and advisory boards of the Chartered Advisors in Philanthropy Program, Amplifier, Our LGBT Fund at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, and MovementVote.
