Alexia Olaizola
Alexia Olaizola is a PhD student in Economics at Stanford University. Her work centers on questions of inequality in North America, focusing on social policy affecting families, education systems and labor markets. Her current projects investigate the effects of placing children into foster care, the structure of homeless shelter systems, and labor market programs for older workers. Alexia also has an Econometrics research agenda, where she works on tools to improve uncertainty quantification and experiment efficiency. Before moving to Stanford, Alexia worked as a research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, researching topics related to racial inequality and criminal justice.
