Rachel Bergmann

Rachel Bergmann is a PhD student in Communication at Stanford University. Her work uses historical and interpretive methods to analyze information technologies and their cultural contexts. Previously, she worked as the Research Assistant for Microsoft Research New England’s Social Media Collective and was a Visiting Predoctoral Fellow the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at McGill University and is a Research Affiliate at McGill’s Centre for Media, Technology, and Democracy.
