Lisa Overbey

Lisa Overbey is a PhD candidate in the Graduate School of Education. Her research interests are in international and comparative education, organizations, and the sociology of education. Her current research projects focus on analyzing global trends in education policy reform and the expansion of offices of diversity in U.S. higher education.  

Lisa is also an IES and an EDGE fellow. She holds a master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Virginia. Prior to coming to Stanford, she worked in education and international affairs for the World Bank in Washington, D.C. and Berlin.
