Jieun Song

Jieun Song is a PhD candidate in International/Comparative Education and Sociology of Education. Her research interests encompass transnational/global sociology, the role of international organizations in shaping national policies and practices, diversity/equity/inclusion in education, and higher education. Her doctoral dissertation examines institutional dynamics and factors that influence understanding of, and policies for, marginalized populations in education, both globally and in US higher education. Before coming to Stanford, she served as a program specialist in the education and culture sectors at the Korean National Commission for UNESCO.
