Cassandra Handan-Nader

Cassandra (Sandy) Handan-Nader is a PhD candidate in Stanford’s Political Science Department with a minor from Stanford’s Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering, and a graduate student fellow in the Democracy and Polarization Lab and the Regulation, Evaluation, and Governance Lab. Her dissertation focuses on improving the measurement of political extremism and polarization in American politics. Her broader research agenda also includes developing applications of machine learning methods for more effective regulation.
