Asha Curran

Asha Curran was a non-resident Fellow at the Digital Civil Society Lab and the leader of the global #GivingTuesday movement, focusing on building an innovative data strategy to encourage deeper, more meaningful collaboration among the holders of valuable giving data, increasing the amount of actionable insights from real data being disseminated in the sector, and rapidly accelerating the adoption of best practices based on the findings. Asha is Chief Innovation Officer and Director of the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at the 92nd Street Y. In addition to #GivingTuesday, she leads a portfolio of global, digitally-driven initiatives including 7 Days of Genius, the Social Good Summit, and the Women in Power Fellowship. She is the recipient of the 2015 Social Capital Hero Award, named a 2016 Woman of Influence by New York Business Journals, and is a Forty Over 40 Women to Watch honoree. She serves on the board of directors of Guardian.org. 92Y was recently named one of the 10 Most Innovative Nonprofits by Fast Company.
