Amrita Parekh

With close to a decade of experience in the philanthropy sector across India and the US, Amrita serves as Senior Advisor to the Effective Philanthropy Learning Initiative at Stanford PACS, focusing on designing curriculum and developing a cohesive partnerships strategy within the global philanthropy ecosystem.

Prior to this, she worked with a strategic philanthropy organization called Dasra, focused on driving capital, innovation and awareness around issues such as women and adolescent empowerment and sanitation, and on strengthening the philanthropy infrastructure in India through partnerships and thought leadership. She also worked with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors’ Communications and Partnerships team in New York. Much of her work till date has involved blending philanthropy strategy, thought leadership and community building to grow partnerships, shape perspectives and drive collaborative action for social change. Amrita holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, MSW from Columbia School of Social Work, and BA in Psychology and Communications from University of Southern California.
