SSIR Launches Global Development Podcast

Host Jonathan Levine will profile those looking to solve some of the most daunting problems facing our global society on Uncharted Ground.

Stanford PACS’s Stanford Social Innovation Review is launching a new podcast Uncharted Ground: Journeys in Social Innovation. Hosted by award-winning journalist and nonprofit director Jonathan Levine the show will follow the programs and people on the ground who are tackling humanity’s biggest problems – and improving the lives of those  in need. In this tumultuous era of pandemics and societal upheaval, our global interconnectedness has been laid painfully bare. Now more than ever, it’s important to seek out and highlight the efforts of those nonprofit innovators and social enterprises dedicated to addressing society’s great challenges, and to share the lessons of their success.

Uncharted Ground tells the stories of global development’s unsung heroes – the personal and organizational journeys of compassionate workers and entrepreneurs, and how they labor, often over many years, to create transformative solutions to dire problems in some of the most daunting environments on earth. Each episode profiles a single mission: a problem, the solution, and the champion – an individual or a team who envisioned a positive outcome and how they brought it to life. Uncharted Ground premieres Monday, April 19th.
