Undergraduate Research Program
Through the Undergraduate Research Program, Stanford PACS engages undergraduate students in a ten-week research experience related to philanthropy and civil society thereby helping to create a pipeline of future scholars that will build the field of knowledge. These undergraduate research assistants gain research skills, training in rigorous methodological inquiry and analysis, and cross sector knowledge as it relates to philanthropy, civil society, and social innovation.
Students are mentored by Stanford PACS affiliated faculty and the Executive Director. As alumni of the program, they will also be invited to Stanford PACS convenings and events relevant to undergraduate research in subsequent academic years. We believe this exposure to cross disciplinary inquiry fosters the development of our students into responsible scholars and leaders of the next generation.
