How Board Dynamics Impact Organizational Change: The Case of Transparency International (B)_Case Study
This teaching case study presents Patricia Moreira’s personal reflections on her challenges as the Managing Director of Transparency International from 2017 to 2020. Moreira discusses the emotional ups and downs she experienced while managing a mission-driven organization, trying to balance the needs and preferences of Transparency International’s board, staff, and diverse external stakeholders. This case study offers a unique look into the realities of strategic decision-making in complex organizational settings and emphasizes the important role that board relations play in this process.
