Together, the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society and the Stanford Social Innovation Review serve the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors in thoughtful new ways.
Stanford PACS and the Stanford Social Innovation Review are working to refine and enhance existing programs to serve the philanthropic, nonprofit and socially responsible business sectors. Stanford PACS engages students, faculty, and practitioners in examining ways in which philanthropic institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other key elements of civil society work to define and address public interests, both in the United States and globally. Stanford Social Innovation Review is an award-winning magazine and website that covers cross-sector solutions to global problems. The Stanford Social Innovation Review is written for and by social change leaders in the nonprofit, business, and government sectors who view collaboration as key to solving environmental, social, and economic justice issues. SSIR bridges academic theory and practice with ideas about achieving social change, covering a wide range of subjects, from microfinance and green businesses to social networks and human rights. The Stanford Social Innovation Review aims both to inform and to inspire.
